A celebration of our children
Did you know that November 14th is the date when India celebrates Children’s Day? This date is special in India as the birthday of the first prime minister, Jawaharial Nehru. Nehru is affectionately known as Chacha Nehru (Uncle Nehru) who emphasised the importance of giving love and affection to children who are our future.
The first Children’s Day was celebrated in 1954, initially celebrated in October and then in November after 1959. November 20th was marked as the date when the declaration of the Child Rights was adopted by the U. N. General Assembly. Indian’s celebrate Children's Day on November 14th for reasons previously mentioned in respect of Chacha Nehru. To extend this notion of celebrating our children, we At Rajbelash believe in a celebration of the family as a whole and so invite you to book a table with us to spend time with your loved ones whilst enjoying fine Indian cuisine.
